So how is everyone enjoying Summer? I'd really like to be able to say I've been loving it, but I can't. I do not enjoy walking out of my house every morning at 6am to what feels like 86 degrees and being hit by a wall of humidity that's like being wrapped up in a warm, wet sheet of plastic wrap. We also were having some issues with our air conditioning that has since been straightened out. Who knew you were supposed to clean out the vent coils? Not my husband and I! Easy and cheap fix though.
Anyway, the heat is defiinitely getting in the way of some of my crafty pursuits. The room where I sew and cut fabric is a converted garage that wasn't insulated all that well and can get quite hot pretty early in the day. I'm currenty working on some embroidery for a pillow I'm going to make as part of an exchange for a message board I'm on. The fabric I'm embroidering on is white cotton, here is the rest of what I'm using.
I'll post pictures of the finished project too.
I have to wonder if stitching profanity on a pillow means I've hit a new high or a new low...you'll have to be the judge.

I have started making ribbon flowers and jewlery b/c it got so hot at the first of this heat wave we have been having known as Summer in Spring... I love that fabric, where did you find it? I need to whip up some fun pillows for the living room. My quilted ones from last summer are starting to bore me...
I found it at the Hancock Fabrics on Harbison. The flowers on it are outlined in tiny little flowers.
